Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane is making a transformed name for himself in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. Although Chennai Super Kings had bought him at his base price during IPL 2023 auction, Rahane is batting like one of their most expensive players.
He is certainly one of the most prominent names to have played for the national team in this century, and according to CAKnowledge, he has a net worth of around INR 75 crores.
Rahane last played for India in a Test match against South Africa in Cape Town last year. He was recently removed from BCCI’s central contracts list as well. After a tough stint with Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022, the right-handed batter has been terrific for CSK this season.
Rahane made his Chennai debut in a high-profile league match against Mumbai Indians, and he won the Player of the Match award for his match-winning knock. He scored 61 (27) with the help of seven boundaries and three sixes.

Rahane used to be in the Grade-B category of BCCI’s contract till last year, where he used to earn INR 3 crores per year. That being said, he is not a part of it anymore. Talking about the match fee, he gets INR 15 lakh for a Test, INR 6 lakh for an ODI and INR 3 lakh for a T20I.
In domestic cricket, he represents Mumbai, and BCCI have increased the fees of domestic players as well in the recent past. He represented Mumbai across formats in the last domestic season. Earlier, the players in Ranji Trophy used to earn INR 35,000 per day, whereas it has been increased to around INR 60,000 per day. The same kind of structure is followed in Vijay Hazare Trophy as well.
