And from CSK, I get in Raina ahead of the in-form du Plessis and Watson as he has time and again performed for CSK in the playoff stage. His ability to play spin is much better than that of both Watson and du Plessis and he will be aided by the fact that both MI spinners would be turning the ball into him tonight.

Hardik Pandya becomes an automatic choice for the all-rounder spot, thanks to some brilliant performances with both and ball this season. For the second all-rounder I get in Krunal Pandya, who could get a lot of purchase out of the Chennai wicket tonight and might also be called upon to bat for a few overs at the death as the surface isn’t going to  help the top order batsman just run the show on their terms.

Imran Tahir becomes an automatic pick too, one because of his form and two because CSK play at home on a turning Chepauk track. Khaleel Ahmed has made 3 wicket hauls a regularity. He has picked up 17 wickets in 8 games, bamboozling batsmen with his left arm cutters.

For the final bowling I get in Rashid Khan, who has hit form and luck in the last few games. He has asked questions off every ball that he has bowled this season, but hasn’t quite been able to pick up wickets.
