Real Madrid have met Suso’s representatives for a potential transfer of the Spanish winger.

The Spanish giants are currently in the process of identifying transfer targets, and the latest to add to the list is Jesús Joaquín Fernández Sáenz de la Torre, known as Suso. Suso has been with Milan since 2015.

AC Milan have recently been hit by Financial Fair Play (FFP) issues, which resulted in a ban for the club to participate in European competitions for two years. Milan is now in the process to generate revenue by offering their best players to European heavyweights, and according to Sport, Suso is one of them.

The Spanish outlet reports that Real Madrid’s representatives have met Suso’s agent to strike a potential deal for the Spanish winger. Interestingly, Suso has played under Julen Lopetegui in the past.

He has played for various age-group teams with Spain, which were being managed by Lopetegui. Real Madrid also tried to sign him when he was 16, but he joined Liverpool instead. He remained at the Merseyside club till 2015. Sport reports that Suso rejected Real Madrid twice while at AC Milan, which could work against his favour when Florentino Perez steps in to work on the deal.

The Real Madrid manager is interested in bringing Suso to the club, as he reportedly sees him as a player similar to Lucas Vazquez. Sport claims that AC Milan will be asking for a fee in the region of €40m for Suso.

Inter Milan is reportedly in contention for the player as well, as they have made a comeback in the Champions League and are set to strengthen their squad for the next season.

AC Milan was imposed a 2-year Champions League ban after their Chinese owner, Li Yonghong bought the club taking a loan which he hasn’t paid back yet. Sport reports that Milan are looking for someone who can buy the club to remove the imposed ban.
