Jim Ross closes out this week’s epsiode of AEW Dynamite by calling it WWE Dynamite. This is not the first time the veteran announcer has blundered the name of the promotion.

A lot happened on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Title matches were set, in-ring debuts were scheduled, storylines progressed but the most important development was the promotion wrapping up its final show of the Pandemic Era in Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place.

An emotional video package was played in front of the fans recapping everything that has happened in the venue in the time since the pandemic restricted their movement.  At the end of the video, in the closing moments of the show, Jim Ross then accidentally called the show WWE Dynamite.

Right after encouraging the fans to buy tickets to live events, JR slipped up and said:

“There is nothing in your life that will top seeing a live WWE Dynamite.”

JR reacted to his blunder by admitting that he made a mistake but he wasn’t going to quit.

“Yep I apparently made an untimely error tonight at shows end. No excuses. And I’m not quitting.”

This is not the first time JR has made a mistake of this sort. He has previously called Kenny Omega the WWE Champion. This one however, may sting fans a little more due to it coming at the end of an emotional video package.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
