A football club is as ambitious as their owners allow them to. The biggest clubs in the world have owners who continue to invest in the side in order to challenge for more titles. PSG and Manchester City saw their fortunes turn after being taken over.

In Arsenal’s case though, the fans claim that their owner Stan Kroenke, only cares about making money and not winning trophies. in what should be exciting news for Gunners fans, the takeover of the club was the subject of discussion from Aliko Dangote.
Africa’s richest man confirms his interest in buying Arsenal
Aliko Dangote is the 96th richest man in the world according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index and the richest in the continent of Africa. He is valued at $14.1 billion and is a massive Arsenal fan. Speaking to Bloomberg, Dangote said,
“It is a team that yes I would like to buy some day, but what I keep saying is we have $20 billion worth of projects and that’s what I really want to concentrate on.
“I’m trying to finish building the company and then after we finish, maybe some time in 2021 we can.
“I’m not buying Arsenal right now, I’m buying Arsenal when I finish all these projects, because I’m trying to take the company to the next level.”
According to the Mirror though, this isn’t the first time he has made such a claim. The last time he spoke on the subject was back in July 2018 when he claimed that he would buy the club in 2020 saying,
“We will go after Arsenal from 2020… even if somebody buys, we will still go after it.”
The first of such claims were made all the way back in 2010!
Arsenal fans will hope that this time he comes good on his promise.
