India wrapped up things in style against Ireland but now is the real test. Indian skipper Virat Kohli talked about the upcoming England tour and the challenges it would bring along with it.

Ireland failed to bounce back in the 2nd T20I after a resounding defeat in the first match. As a result, they were met with an even bigger loss in the 2nd game.

Virat Kohli appeared quite satisfied at the post match presentation. After the win, he said, “Just the right kind of momentum we needed. Pretty happy that we got in balanced performances.”

India are having a problem of plenty as each player is grabbing his opportunities with both hands. In the only opportunity that KL Rahul got, he made full use of it and even bagged the Man of the Match award. Extending the same, Kohli said, “I’m having a headache right now about who to pick. It’s a healthy sign, guys shining through coming from the bench as well. It’s a great phase for Indian cricket.”

Talking about the upcoming England tour, although Kohli did not give the opposition too much importance, he stressed that India has two high quality wrist spinners which can be a handful for any side.

“For us the opposition does not really matter. We know if they come hard, we have the batting power to go hard as well. Plus we have to wrist spinners. It’s going to be a competitive series against England.

“Building a relaxed atmosphere is not difficult at all. The system has been laid. The benchmark has been set. No one takes anything for granted. That’s something you have to leave to the players and trust them to do the right things for the team. They’ve accepted that responsibility with both hands. I don’t have to poke anyone to try harder as a captain. It takes a lot of load off the management.”
