Ajax hosts Juventus in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal. We take a look at the Dream11 prediction for Ajax vs Juventus.

The fairytale run in this season continues for Ajax, as they face Juventus in the quarterfinal of the Champions League.

The side is at the top of their domestic league table, and have also reached the final of the domestic cup tournament. As such, ten Hag’s side can aim for an unlikely treble if they can somehow overcome Ronaldo’s Juventus in the quarterfinal.

The task is tough, however, as Ronaldo’s record against Ajax hardly inspires confidence in the Ajax dressing room. In the five games Juventus forward has played against Ajax, he has scored 7. Ronaldo also returned to training ahead of the clash, and Allegri suggested that the forward can play at Amsterdam.

Let’s take a look at the Dream11 fantasy tips for the game:

Ajax vs Juventus Dream11 prediction:

Goalkeeper – Szczesny (8.5 cr)

The former Arsenal keeper didn’t have an easy job filling the Gianluigi Buffon’s shoes. However, Szczesny has had impressive outings this season so far. The goalkeeper played a key role in the second leg against Atletico Madrid and I place my money on the Juventus keeper for this game.

Juventus is likely to have most of the ball possession, and with the return of Ronaldo, it isn’t too risky to assume that the Italian side may find a breakthrough at some point in the game.

Defence – Bonucci, Sandro, Cancelo, Blind

Due to the same reason behind the selection of Szczesny, I put my money on three Juventus defenders. Allegri likes to play defensively, and with the absence of Giorgio Chiellini in the game, we can expect a tighter defensive performance from Juventus.

I’ve picked Daley Blind over Matthijs De Ligt in my team. Many may argue that De Ligt is a better defender. However, we need to form our teams according to the rules in Dream11, and Daley Blind is a better fit in this regard.

The Dutch defender has the highest tackling percentage among his teammates this season. While it is possible that Ajax may concede, Blind will get you points for his accurate tackles.

Midfield: Pjanic, De Jong, David Neres, Hakim Ziyech

Miralem Pjanic will be one of the most influential midfielders in the game, as he will be assigned the task to take the ball further ahead. This is why, he is also my vice-captain for the game.

Frenkie De Jong, David Neres and Hakim Ziyech are quick on the ball and could make life difficult for Juventus in the initial stages of the game. I count on the Ajax midfielders to make quick moves behind Juventus’ defence.

Forward: Ronaldo, Mandzukic

Cristiano Ronaldo will return for this game, and his record against Ajax makes him an automatic choice for the captain of my side. Mandzukic will also make it difficult for Ajax’s defenders due to his excellent chemistry with the Portuguese forward. With Juventus enjoying ball possession in the game, Allegri will rely on these two to make the difference in the game.
