Without a win in four matches before they got ready to faceoff against Real Madrid, Valencia couldn’t have asked for a worse set of results ahead of a fixture which was daunting enough in itself.
With everything stacked against them and no one giving Valencia a chance to emerge unscathed from the tie, the club went looking to stun everyone.
