Manchester United see Jadon Sancho as a direct replacement for the flop Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester United named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager last week. The Norwegian International has been speaking about the chance to take the club forward by making good transfers in the summer transfer window as he prepares his side to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

The 46-year-old has listed down the three positions which would seek an upgrade in the forthcoming window. Those positions are learned to be center-back, right wing, and central midfielder. Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan Skriniar have been the known defensive transfer targets for the Red Devils.

Along with those two players, Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho is another player to head the shortlist for the English outfit as they seek to improve in their offensive area of the pitch. The English International is set to cost around 100 million pounds, but Solskjaer is well aware of his quality and age.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are the other two clubs to show interest on the youngster, but the Red Devils have made him the top transfer target for this window as they prepare to link him up with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in the front line, according to the Independent.

Sancho would take the place of Alexis Sanchez who has been underwhelming, to say the least. Jose Mourinho beat Pep Guardiola to the signature of the Chilean, but it has not gone according to the script for the former Arsenal attacker who has struggled to find his feet at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils made him the highest earner in the Premier League by offering him 500,000 per week, but that move has clearly backfired. If Manchester United manage to sell him in the upcoming transfer window, the English outfit will be able to save plenty of money from his wages.

That poor move is keeping the Red Devils in check. David De Gea, Ander Herrera, and Juan Mata are yet to put pen to paper because of the hefty demands from the player’s representatives. Should Solskjaer manage to snap up Jadon Sancho and Kalidou Koulibaly, Manchester United have tremendous quality in both ends of the pitch.
