Amit Mishra has been given out for obstructing the field in the final over vs SRH, as the DC batsman changed direction while running to the non strikers end.
With 2 runs needed off 3 balls, Amit Mishra missed the ball, with Saha collecting it and throwing it to the striker’s end. Saha missed too, with Khaleel then collecting the ball and attempting to run Amit Mishra out at the non striker’s end.
Mishra made it and it seemed as if DC then needed just 1 off 2 balls. However, the SRH players erupted, appealing against Mishra, who according to them had changed direction during his run.
The SRH players asked for a DRS, with the 3rd umpire checking for an edge on Mishra’s attempted stroke. There was nothing on the ultra edge and the game seemed to be going forward, but then, the ‘obstructing the field’ appeal was taken to the third umpire, with the soft signal being not out.
Replays showed that Mishra had clearly changed direction, trying to come in between the throw and the stumps. The ball didn’t quite hit him, but the fact that he tried obsutructing the throw was enough to rule him out.

However, that did not quite matter in the end, as Keemo Paul managed to swipe the ball to the mid wicket boundary and win the game for DC with one ball to spare.
