Anthony Davis trade rumors: The Pelicans have been handed an extended list of teams as the speculations over the move grow.
Anthony Davis shocked the NBA fraternity last month when he handed in a trade request to New Orleans Pelicans.

Ever since the announcement, the speculations over Davis’ move have significantly grown. It was earlier reported that the Boston Celtics and LA Lakers were among the leading teams to secure a move for Davis.
After Anthony Davis Sr. voiced his criticism for Celtics a few days ago, ESPN now reports that the power forward has not included them in his extended list of preferred teams.
Moreover, the Lakers, who are currently among the favourites to secure a trade move for Davis, have reportedly returned with a new offer to acquire his services.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Pelicans have been handed an extended list of teams ‘beyond the Lakers and the Knicks, which the all-star center Anthony Davis would stay long term.’
Wojnarowski further reports that the Celtics are not a part of the preferred list, but Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly made the cut.
Four teams make the list of teams he’d re-sign if traded to: The Lakers, Knicks, Clippers and Bucks.
Beyond the Lakers and Knicks, the Pelicans have been made aware of “a handful” of teams that Anthony Davis would be willing to sign long-term with upon a trade, league sources tell ESPN. Boston isn’t included on that list.

Earlier today, LA Times ran a report that Pelicans had counter-offered the Lakers over their ‘lowball’ approach for Anthony Davis.
The ESPN journalist now claims that the Lakers’ president Magic Johnson and Pelicans’ General Manager Dell Damps have had multiple conversations today and that the Lakers have made a new offer for the player.
In the new package, Lakers will include multiple draft picks and offer relief in the salary cap for Anthony Davis. In the earlier offer, the Lakers had offered two of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Ivica Zubac and a first-round pick.
The new offer also includes multiple young players and according to Brad Turner, the list includes Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley.
The Lakers have offered a new package to New Orleans that includes multiple young players, multiple draft picks and Pelicans salary cap relief for Anthony Davis, league sources tell ESPN. The offer appears to move closer to the objectives that the Pelicans are pursuing in a deal.

It is further reported that the new proposition from the Lakers is closer to the Pelicans’ objectives over Davis’ move.
