Anthony Martial Goal vs Southampton: The French Forward leads Manchester United’s comeback after conceding an early goal.

Manchester United are near invincible at the moment. For much of the early part of this season, the Red Devils couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. At the moment however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side just can’t seem to stop scoring.

While Bruno Fernandes has been credited with the rise of the side, Anthony Martial’s massive improvement in front of the goal cannot be ignored. The Frenchman was at it again against Southampton combining with Fernandes to hand United the lead.

Fernandes played a simple ball to the left. Martial collected the ball and glided past Walkers-Peters before cutting in and ramming a powerful shot past McCarthy.

Very impressive stuff from Martial considering he had missed a one on one chance early on in the game. Southampton would go on to score the first goal instead. Martial from the first half of the season would have his heads and shoulders dropped by now.

Instead he’s redeemed himself by turning the game on its head.

Earlier in the match, Marcus Rashford scored the equalizer for Manchester United. Martial’s hold up play allowed him to eventually send the ball towards Rashford’s way who finished the job with a brilliant left footed shot into the far corner.

At the time of writing, Man Utd lead 2-1 heading into half-time.
