Virat Kohli was at his imperious best yet again, bringing his 34th ODI ton and his 2nd of the series to put India in a commanding position in the 3rd ODI at Cape Town.

With Rohit Sharma’s woeful form continuing, the onus was once again on Kohli and Dhawan to take India through to a good enough first innings score.

Dhawan and Kohli kept the scorecard ticking initially and then took a liking for the South African bowlers, toying with them through and through.

While Dhawan departed for a well made 76, trying to up the ante, Kohli carried on, playing the sheet anchor role and brining up a very well constructed hundred.

With Dhoni, Pandya and Jadhav to come, it looked like India would be on course for something in excess of 330, but none of India’s middle order batsmen could really kick on, finding it tough to time the ball on a sluggish Newlands surface.

Virat Kohli and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar strung together a great 50 run partnership and Kohli unleashed himself during the death overs, taking India to a total of 303.

Superlatives were done with as fans had to dig deep to find newer ways to hail the genius of Kohli. No matter who you are, a bowler, a fan or a writer, Kohli always makes you work hard for your money.

Anushka Sharma too couldn’t hold back, bringing forth her ‘fangirl’ moment yet again, praising Virat once again on his wonderful knock.

In the 1st ODI, when Kohli had masterfully chased down South Africa’s total of 270, Anushka Sharma had come up with an Instagram story for Kohli, which read ‘What a guy’,

Anushka did something very similar today as well, coming up with another Instagram story, which read ‘Ufff! What a guy’

Bumrah got Amla early in the 2nd innings, but since then Markram and Duminy have looked really assured in the middle, keeping the scoreboard ticking and making the Indian bowlers work hard for wickets.
