Aritz Aduriz penalty: The Athletic Bilbao’s scored a penalty goal in a remarkable fashion to give the side a lead in the game.

Even at the age of 37, Aritz Aduriz knows how to draw headlines. The Athletic Bilbao forward scored a penalty goal in the most unique fashion to give his side the lead at the brink of halftime.

However, Oscar Plano scored an equalizer in the second half for Real Valladolid as Adruiz was denied being the hero of the night for Bilbao.

Aduriz has scored 170 goals in 379 games for Athletic Blbao across all competitions since signing for the club in 2012. The forward scored his first La Liga goal last night, and his fifth of the season.

This is how the penalty was taken.

Aritz Aduriz penalty:

Athletic Bilbao was awarded the penalty in the closing minutes of halftime, and the veteran forward stepped up to take the penalty.

The fact that Bilbao are facing a relegation battle did little to increase pressure on Aduriz, though, as he took the penalty in the most audacious of styles to give his side the lead in the game.

Aduriz took a one-step run, as he kept his non-kicking foot over the ball to pass it towards the net. The goalkeeper failed to save the penalty.
