Ferrari did not quite have the perfect 2018 season, following some massive blunders by the strategic team and by Vettel too.
Team Principal Arrivabene’s position has come under threat ever since, primarily because of dodgy strategic calls and also because he was adamant to keep Kimi at Ferrari for one more year.
During the season, reports had stated that Arrivabene was in line to become the director of Juventus, as his time at Ferrari had apparently come to an end.
There are some defining moments at Maranello going on (that‘s why the silence with the press, that‘s why John Elkann has been visiting them very often now).
Italian media speculate it‘s because of Binotto/Arrivabene and the final decision. Arrivabene has not been renewed yet— tami. (@Vetteleclerc) December 10, 2018
Now, Ferrari haven’t renewed Arrivabene’s contract for the next season and with Binotto in contention too, Italian media speculates that Binotto could take over from next season.
John Elkann has been visiting Maranello a little too often in the last few days and things have been kept away from the press, thus giving rise to speculation that a decision is soon to be announced.
Ferrari have also cancelled their year end press conference.
According to Corriere della Sera, John Elkann has been visiting Maranello to ensure that things are looking up at Ferrari.
According to Italian media, there won‘t be the traditional Ferrari meeting with the press at the end of the year (which they usually do). It‘s even more quiet in Maranello than usual#F1 #Ferrari

According to Corriere della Sera, the new Ferrari chairman John Elkann intensified his visits to Maranello and the factory in recent weeks, precisely to look over the team and the atmosphere!#F1 #Ferrari

Do you think Arrivabene should be sacked by Ferrari or will it be too harsh a step. Ferrari did make a massive improvement in car performance this season. Mercedes had been blowing them away in the past few seasons, but had a fight on their hands this time round.
Ferrari fans want a change, and they want a change now.
As Maurizio Arrivabene's contract haven't renewed yet, I would love to see Binotto as the scuderia's team principal in 2019

Arrivabene did take his chances and failed. So now it's time to change the boss. Ferrari which doesn't win, is not a Ferrari…
