Arsenal News: Gunners fans are infuriated at the leading choice for captaincy of the London side with Laurent Koscielny set to be stripped of his armband.
It’s gotta be tough being an Arsenal fan right now. The Club failed to finish in the top 4 of the premier league. Any chance of ending the season in a high evaporated as Chelsea overpowered them to lift the Europa league trophy. The team do not have the budget to make big moves in the summer transfer market and they have not been able to move out players they do not desire.

To make matters worse, skipper Laurent Koscielny has skipped their pre-season tour. This act of insubordination was done in an attempt to force a move out of The Emirates Stadium. Manager Unai Emery has hinted that the Frenchman will be replaced as captain this season and Midfielder Granit Xhaka could replace him.
When pressed with the possibility of leading Arsenal full time this season, The Swiss said:
“It is not about the armband. We have to work well together on the pitch, out of the pitch and we have to work together, all of the players. ‘If the club and the coach give me the armband, I will be happy of course. I will be very happy because it is something special. But it’s not my first time because I have been the captain here. I was before in Germany and the national team as well. ‘Our leadership improved last season but this is not something you can change in one day. You need time and, in my opinion, we are on a good way to create something special in the team as well.”
Gooners Galled
Arsenal fans however, were not pleased at all with the news. Several of the Gooners have expressed their annoyance with the possibility on Social Media.
