Arsenal’s FA Cup triumph last year was arguably the toughest win in their storied history, as an under pressure Arsene Wenger was tasked with beating Manchester City in the semi final and Conte’s brilliant Chelsea side.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal a record breaking 13th FA Cup, which also made Arsene Wenger the most successful manager in the competition’s history with seven cups to his name.
In hindsight, Wenger should have walked away after that triumphant day, as it was clear to everyone that the Frenchman was just good enough to lead one of the biggest sides in the world.

One of the big problems at Arsenal was the lack of planning for life after Wenger. The CEO Ivan Gazidis, is actually a firm believer in replacing Wenger, which has created a lot of tension between the scenes at Arsenal.
Over the last few months, Gazidis has brought in Sven Mislintat as head of recruitment and Raul Sanllehi as head of football relations starting next month, which was a huge blow to Wenger’s power behind the scenes.
Wenger has also lost two of his biggest allies in Steve Rowley and Dick Law, as Gazidis has quickly made huge strides in preparing for life after Arsene Wenger.
While the board still holds him in high esteem, the Frenchman feels that Gazidis is trying to push him out of the club, which is something that Wenger is clearly unhappy with.
Raul Sanllehi has made Atletico Madrid duo, Jab Oblak and Jose Gimenez his primary targets for the summer, as the former Barcelona man wants to restructure the Arsenal defense for next season.
While Gimenez has a release clause of 57 million Pounds, Oblak could cost somewhere around 65-70 Million in the summer.
