Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth

TheSportsRush brings Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth as the Gunners return to Premier League after the international break.

Arsenal are currently 5th in the league with 23 points in 12 games. Three consecutive draw games in the league have pushed Arsenal down to 5th position, three points behind city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Unai Emery’s side will take on the high-flying Bournemouth, who have been solid in this season. Eddie Howe’s team is currently 6th on the table, and has a chance to be level on points with Arsenal with a win at the weekend.

Arsenal received a major boost earlier this week when their star forward duo, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette returned to training. The forwards withdrew from international duty during the break owing to injuries.

The Gunners have now released a detailed list of players who might miss the game against Bournemouth, which confirms that the duo will be available.

Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth;

Earlier today, Arsenal released the injury list, which also mentioned players who are a doubt for the match against Bournemouth. In a major relief, Lacazette and Aubameyang’s names were not included in the list, but Arsenal received a defensive setback.

Stephan Lichtsteiner will be reassessed for the game against Bournemouth, but Nacho Monreal will be out of full training for two weeks. The Spanish defender is likely to miss the league game against Tottenham Hotspur next month, as a result.

Both the defenders have been suffering from a right hamstring injury.

Laurent Koscielny, who faced an Achilles injury last season, is currently been integrated to full training, while Dinos Mavropanos won’t be returning to training until December.

Danny Welbeck has had two successful operations and is currently under rehabilitation after picking up a severe ankle injury during the Europa League game against Sporting Lisbon.

What next?

Arsenal will return to Europa League after their game against Bournemouth as they take on Vorskla.

The Gunners are currently at the top of their group in the European tournament.
