Arsenal Transfer News Gunners accidentally confirm move on website

Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners accidentally confirm move on website. No official confirmation has come from the club yet.

Arsenal appeared to have confirmed a loan move for Eddie Nketiah to Bristol City on their website before changing it back. The highly rated youngster is desired by a host of Championship clubs and Mikel Arteta is more than eager for the striker to pick up more first team experience.

Clubs such as Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday had lined up for the youngster but it appears that Bristol City have won the race after the club accidentally put up a graphic of the youngster on their website alongside the Robins’ club badge with the caption ‘on loan’.

They have since changed it back.

No change in plans

Nketiah is a fast growing striker who has been compared with former Arsenal striker Ian Wright. He was loaned to Leeds United in the summer. However, despite making 17 appearances for the Championship title contenders, he only made two starts.

Arsenal pulled the plug on the stay at the beginning of this month and called him back to North London and are desperate to send the striker to another club he will be guaranteed more first team action.

Arsenal will be without their captain for the next 3 games after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang copped a Red card in the match against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Despite losing their highest scorer this season, Arteta has said that it will have no impact on their plans for Nketiah to leave for more experience.

“It didn’t before and at the moment we have to think medium to long term with Eddie, we have to respect his evolution, his development, and we don’t have to make decisions just based on two or three games I think,” Arteta said.
