Arsenal are currently looking to add to their side and are now extremely close to announcing their first signing this summer in PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer according to TodoFichajes, per the Sun and Express Sport.
Kurzawa mainly provided cover for Juan Bernat at Paris. Following to come to an agreement with the French club over his contract extension, the Frenchman is set to leave the club in the summer.
Arsenal win the race to sign Layvin Kurzawa
His agent Kia Joorabchian was last month reportedly “handling interesting offers” from clubs.
Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea were said to be among clubs interested in his signature. However, it appears that Arsenal have won the race. They could announce the 27-year old’s arrival at the end of the campaign on a five-year deal to become Mikel Arteta’s first signing of the summer.
The Guner’s purchased Kieran Tierney last summer for the same position. However, the former Cetic Star has spent a majority of the season on the sidelines with an injury.
Arsenal were in talks with the player during the January transfer window. Reports suggested that he even agreed a deal to move to the Emirates Stadium back then; a deal that would cost the Gunners in the region of £6 million.
The deal eventually fell through. However, if the reports are to be believed, Arsenal have finally got their man.
