Arsenal transfer news: Gunner’s ready to pay €56m to bring back former player

Arsenal transfer news: Gunner’s ready to pay €56m to bring back former player after his exhibition of top-class form in recent years.

Before the season started many believed that Arsenal had made a potent signing with the purchase of Nicolas Pepe from Lille. They went so far to compare with Arsenal’s new front three of Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe with Liverpool’s trio of Mane, Salah and Firmino.

However, Pepe has been lacklustre so far for the Gunners. The season is still in its infancy and Pepe could well turn out worth the 72 million Arsenal splurged on him. However, in case things don’t work out, the North London side have already prepared a replacement for him.

Reports suggest that Arsenal are looking forward to the January Transfer market to purchase their former player who is making news for his tremendous form with his new team ever since leaving England back in 2017.

London calling

According to Calciomercato, Arsenal are willing to sign their former youth Donyell Malen from PSV. To get him to trade his PSV Red and Whites for that of Arsenal’s, the London side are willing to splash 56 million euros.

Malen joined Arsenal back in 2015 from Arsenal. He would go on to spend 2 more years with them before joining PSV’s youth system before graduating to their first team. Malen has hit his stride with PSV in the Dutch league and has been in striking form this season.

He has so far scored 14 goals and five assists in 17 appearances across all competitions. The Dutchman could be just what Arsenal are missing. However, they will face strict competition from top Italian clubs such as Juventus, Napoli and Roma.

Regardless of where it ends, it is certain that he will not stay in Netherlands for too long in the future.
