TheSportsRush brings Arsenal vs Brentford highlights as the Gunners are through to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
Arsenal are through to the next round of the Carabao Cup with a win over Brentford. Two first half goals from Danny Welbeck, and an injury time goal from Alexandre Lacazette were enough to see Arsenal through the line, even when Brentford pulled one back early in the first half.
Arsenal opened the goal-scoring in the fourth minute of the match, and soon doubled their lead in the 37th minute. Danny Welbeck scored both the goals for Arsenal in the first half.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan started the match amidst an injury scare, which came as a welcome change for Arsenal. Mkhitaryan was forced to watch the game against Everto on the sidelines after he was injured in the Europa League clash last week.
Bernd Leno also started the match, while Danny Welbeck played up front as Unai Emery choose to rotate the squad for the Carabao Cup fixture.
Arsenal will now face Watford in the Premier League this weekend, and key players like Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil are expected to come back into the side for the match. Watford are currently fourth in the Premier League, while Arsenal are 6th with four wins from six matches.

Arsenal’s pressing from the front very impressive tonight. Iwobi, Welbeck and Smith Rowe constantly snapping at the heels of the Brentford defence.

Mkhitaryan does one thing right and ten things wrong. Incredibly inconsistent.
