Manchester United captain Ashley Young is on the verge of joining Inter Milan this January despite the club’s attempts to renew his contract. Antonio Conte wants to bring the veteran to his side in a bid to displace Juventus as Italian Champions and it seems that Young is also in favour of the move.

Young, who has been with the club since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson, has been a prominent member of the side. He has featured heavily for all the managers in the time since. However, according to Sky Italia, Ashley Young has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he never wants to play for Manchester United again.
The report states that Ashley Young, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has turned down the offer of a new deal. He has made it clear that he does not want to play at the club anymore and does not want to even feature on the bench.

Conte wanted him when he was Chelsea Boss
Antonio Conte wanted to reportedly purchase Ashley Young from Manchester United while he used to manage Chelsea. After bringing in Romelu Lukaku in the summer and bring Alexis Sanchez on loan, he now wants to finally work with Young as well.
Should United refuse to sell Young, they risk losing him for nothing in the summer. Selling Young, who joined the club from Aston Villa in 2011, would at least provide them with some financial compensation. One can only wonder how Manchester United will respond to the situation at hand. However, it is all but certain that Young’s career at the club has come to an end. Be it this January or in the summer.
