This is the first time when ATK has lost their opening game of the Indian Super League. For Kerala Blasters, Poplatnik and Stojanovic put the ball past the net to secure victory.
Kerala endured a poor season last year, which was revived in the second half by David James, who continues at his position in the new season.
ATK started the game positively and looked in shape in the first half, but failed to find the net. Kerala Blasters dominated most of the second half and soon found the breakthrough through their new signing, Matej Pop

Stojanovic soon doubled the lead in the 84th minute of the game.
