Aubameyang on game vs Tottenham

Aubameyang on game vs Tottenham: The Arsenal striker reacted to Arsenal’s win against Tottenham in style.

Arsenal defeated Tottenham 4-2 in season’s first North London derby. The Gunners made a solid comeback after being 1-2 down at halftime, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace in the win.

Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira scored the other two goals as Arsenal cruised to victory. Torreira scored his first goal for Arsenal since joining the side in the summer, and celebrated in style as the players and fans joined in.

Aubameyang shined for Arsenal on the day, as the striker became the highest goalscorer in the league this season. With his second goal in the second half, Aubameyang also reached double figures in the league.

He has scored 10 goals in his last 10 shots.

The striker took to Twitter to react to the game, and dished out a perfect reply for his critics.

Aubameyang on game vs Tottenham:

The Arsenal striker scored the opener for Arsenal in the first half as he converted the penalty to give the Gunners a lead in the game. However, Arsenal found themselves on backfoot at the end of the half as they conceded two quick goals to Tottenham.

In the second half, Aubameyang scored an absolute stunner to put Arsenal level in the clash.

The Gabon-born striker has often been criticised of scoring tap-ins, and he took a brutal dig at his critics as he scored a thunderous goal from outside the box.

Aubameyang wrote, “I love tap ins but come on put some RESPEK on my name.”

Here’s the tweet:

Lacazette gave Arsenal the lead in the game, and Torreira scored minutes later to complete a terrific comeback for the Gunners.

Aubameyang overtook the Manchester City duo of Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero to become the highest goalscorer in the league this season. He has 10 goals in the league, while both the City forwards have scored 8.

With this win, Arsenal also climbed up to third position in the league. The Gunners slipped to fifth earlier as they endured a disappointing draw run before the international break last month.

Tottenham, who began the weekend at 3rd, have now dropped to fifth in the league.

Arsenal will now to Old Trafford where they take on Manchester United on Wednesday night. Jose Mourinho’s side is currently 7th in the league and is desperate to end their dismal run. A win would take Manchester United five points closer to Arsenal.
