Brazilian winger Willian has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the last few weeks of the transfer window. The Catalan giants are looking to strengthen their squad having seen Andres Iniesta’s departure.

Paulinho also left the club after contributing a significant amount for the Spanish league and cup champions. There is now a void to fill in Barcelona, and those inside the club believe that Willian is the man to do so.

The 29 year old has always been instrumental for the Blues. He’s won every domestic title on at least one occasion with the club. However, Antonio Conte’s sacking is expected to lead to exits of Hazard and Courtois too.

The Belgian duo has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and Willian could join arch rivals Barcelona soon. The club is looking to add to its strong squad.

A fee of €73 million seems to be agreed between the two clubs. Willian was previously linked with a transfer to Manchester United but Barcelona seem to have pulled the tug towards itself in the recent weeks.

Willian’s addition to the club is set to be pivotal. The former Shakhtar Donetsk man possesses attractive gameplay, including a handful of goals. He was inarguably Chelsea’s best player in 2014/15, even though as a team they were horrendous. He was instrumental to their success in the Premier League and FA Cup in the last two seasons and may be a great addition to Barcelona’s squad.

Chelsea will now have to look for able replacements, one’s that can replace Willian, i.e players who possess the ability to play on the wings and through the middle.
