The anticipation surrounding the next edition of the IPL is growing steadily, with the mega auction set to take place next month, sure to attract a lot of eyeballs.

The cash-rich Premier League’s revenue model is expected to experience a sensational lift and the players would cash in on earnings for sure. The venues are set to change as well for the next season of the IPL.

As Star India bagged IPL’s Global Media Rights, we could sense that a complete transformation of the league is all set to take place.

Star India is all set to telecast the most-watched cricket league in six regional languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali.

Sanjay Gupta, who is the managing director at Star India emphasized that IPL is one thing that has by far managed to grab the hearts of the people. “IPL is the biggest property on television today,” he said on Wednesday.

Star India is expecting to create a massive impact in terms of the overall viewership of the IPL. Their intentions are quite clear and the standard target that they set is around 700 million in 2018, a tremendous jump that could see a 250 million rise from 2017.

The all-important mega auction is all set to take place in Bengaluru on December 27 and 28 respectively. There are many players up for grabs who to go under the hammer in what will be the most-wanted event.

It is also widely reported that Shane Warne could make a sensational return to Rajasthan Royals in a coach cum mentor role. The legendary Aussie was the skipper when the Royals incredibly won the inaugural edition of the IPL.

Warne’s return to the IPL would be incredible, as the Aussie would do a fantastic job in mentoring the players in the Royals camp.
