The draw was conducted on BBC Radio 2 this Thursday morning by David James and Zoe Ball and the dates regarding the ties have also been confirmed.

Carabao Cup quarterfinals date

The quarter-final of the League Cup is scheduled to take place on the week commencing 16 December 2019. The first-leg of the semi-finals will take place on the week commencing 6 January 2020. While the second-legs will take place on the week commencing 27 January 2020. The final, as always, will be played at Wembley, is scheduled for Sunday 1 March 2020.

However, all Liverpool games will have to be moved due to their involvement in the FIFA Club World cup in Qatar. Jurgen Klopp had threatened to pull out of the Carabao Cup after the victory against Arsenal due to a fixture pile-up.

The Liverpool manager said that the club was not averse to withdrawing their name from the competition; unless they were given an appropriate date for the competition. The European Champions have already had their match against West Ham rescheduled due to fixture issues. The EFL confirmed on Thursday morning that they were working with Liverpool to find an alternative date for their last eight tie to take place on.
