Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang ended his goal-drought in the new season in the 62nd minute of the match, before the lead was cancelled out again by Danny Ward 8 minutes later. Lacazette scored in the 81st minute to win the match for Arsenal.

Mustafi, whose family originally from Macedonia near the Albanian border, celebrated that goal from Xhaka assist with the double-headed eagle symbol.
