Here is how Twitter reacted after Reds win 2-0 to reclaim the top spot.
Liverpool traveled to Wales to play the relegation contenders Cardiff City. Jurgen Klopp’s men won 2-0, but it was not a particularly easy game for the Reds who had to dig deep to procure all three points to reclaim their top spot in the league table.
During the first half, Liverpool had two easy chances to put the game beyond the eyesight of the hosts, but they failed to find the back of the net on both the occasions. Cardiff City, though, had a chance through their striker Oumar Niasse, but the Senegalese striker scuffed the shot and did not get the perfect contact. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker tipped the ball over the crossbar to keep the scoreline intact.
The Blues slowed down as the game went and struggled to contain the likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Naby Keita who enjoyed plenty of possession inside Cardiff City’s half. Liverpool needed something magical and their midfielder Gini Wijnaldum scored a belter from a corner.
Set piece taker Trent Alexander Arnold picked up the run of the Dutch International who thundered the ball inside the back of the net to break the deadlock. The Reds could have drawn level, thanks to an open-goal miss from the Skipper Sean Morrisson who completely got it wrong.
Liverpool dealt with the set pieces really well and when they had a chance to break through, they made it count. Mohamed Salah was handled and pushed back by Morrison inside the penalty box. Ever reliable James Milner took the penalty to slot it past the goalkeeper Neil Etheridge and give a two-goal cushion.
Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to secure all three points and keep up the pace with Manchester City in the league table.

Fabinho got himself a concussion so Milner can come on and score the penalty.
We’re playing 4D chess.

5 – Mohamed Salah has won five penalties this season in the Premier League, only Wilfried Zaha (6) has won more. No other Liverpool player has earned more than one. Precarious. #CARLIV pic.twitter.com/xhpR94zhU1

Rival fans having a massive meltdown on Salah getting another clear penalty, forcing their agendas yet again. The evidence is clear and Salah has helped Liverpool again.
