Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester United

Carlo Ancelotti has opened about Kalidou Koulibaly’s future at Naples.

When Napoli travelled to Milan to play the Nerazzurri, defender Kalidou Koulibaly was abused with full racism from Inter Milan crowd. Despite the protest from manager Carlo Ancelotti and Naples players to stop playing, the referee panel refused to get along with him.

It was an unforgettable event which would forever be etched in the memory of Koulibaly who has received unfair treatment. However, everybody associated with the club apologized to the Senegalese International aftermath the game.

After the game, Ancelotti said “There was a strange atmosphere, as we asked three times for play to be suspended, they had announcements with the speaker three times.

“Koulibaly was certainly irritable. Usually, he is very calm and professional, but he was subjected to monkey noises throughout the game. We asked three times for some action to be taken, but the match continued. We keep being told play can be halted, but when? After four or five announcements? Maybe we have to take matters into our own hands next time and stop play ourselves. They’ll probably make us lose the game if we walk off, but we are prepared to do it. It’s not good for Italian football, seeing this.”

Since he is a subject of racist abuse, Manchester United are trying to lure him away to England. Sunday Mirror claims that the Red Devils have made Koulibaly as their top defensive priority in the summer transfer window.

But Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti believes that Koulibaly sees his future at Naples and remains confident that the defender will not force the club to sell him aftermath this season.

The Italian International spoke to the press “In England they write that Koulibaly can leave because of the problem of racism, I do not think so,

“Koulibaly is happy in Naples, he’s upset like others, but it will not be a trigger for a goodbye. He never showed it, he wants to stay in Naples and in Italy, a country he likes very much.”

It is understood that a bid of even 120 million will not be enough for Manchester United to prise him away. Barcelona bid the same amount before the kick start of winter transfer break and it was instantly turned down by the Naples.

Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the centre-back and made an attempt to sign him, but the deal could never be materialized. If the Portuguese International moves to Real Madrid, there is no doubt that he would be rivalling Manchester United to land him.

With so many teams battling out for his signature, Napoli will be in for an auction in the summer transfer window.
