According to British newspaper Express, Chelsea have accepted a bid from Manchester United for Willian. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with Barcelona.

Willian has been linked with a move away from Chelsea. The Brazilian right winger feels that he needs a new challenge in his career having done a significant bit at Chelsea. After five years, he is looking set to leave the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s rivals to the Premier League- Manchester United- are interesting in commissioning a move for the 29 year old. The Red Devils’ boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the player with whom he worked during his second spell in west London.

The Portuguese boss is looking to strengthen his right flank with Juan Mata not fulfilling expectations. The second option at that position is Anthony Martial- who could be on his way. Ivan Perisic, Ante Rebic and Willian were all connected with a move to United, who are now closest to getting the Chelsea man.

Jose Mourinho is said to be discontented with how the board is behaving with him. Ed Woodward is ready to offer funds to sign big names like Neymar and Gareth Bale, but the coach is keen only on Willian. Chelsea are behaving like notorious negotiators, but United are pushing forward to get their man.

Express have now claimed that the Blues have finally accepted a bid worth £66 million to allow Willian to depart the club. In shocking circumstances, Gary Cahill could also follow his Chelsea teammate to England’s north.

The English defender has only one year to run on his contract and seems to have no clear future with Chelsea. As it is, Jose Mourinho is looking to recruit a centre back. His bids for the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane have all been rebuffed.

Willian could sign his contract with the Red Devils as early as next week. His arrival in Manchester might be the final blow to Anthony Martial’s hopes of fighting for a starting spot at the Old Trafford.
