Colombia Vs Chile Dream11 Team

Formation: 4-3-3

GOALKEEPER

David Ospina: David Ospina has been immense for Colombia in the Copa America. He has done well to keep three clean sheets in a row. Ospina has made numerous saves in this edition and makes plenty of contributions. He does not have a great defence as Chile, but the team functions better than the opponents.

DEFENDERS

Yerry Mina: Yerry Mina is not known for his astute defensive skills, but he has the aerial prowess to exploit. The Colombian famously scored twice in the World Cup and made his name known to the rest of the world.

Guillermo Maripan: Guillermo Maripan has been one of the best defenders in the Copa America till date. The centre-back is agile and quick, making it easier for him to win duels. He makes plenty of interceptions and wins aerial duels to assist his side in the defensive department of the game.

William Tesillo: William Tesillo is the first choice left-back for Colombia. He has limited offensive abilities, but provides defensive stability in order to cut down the leakage of goals. Tesillo has started all three games in the group stages and it is likely to see him retain his place in the starting eleven.

Stefan Medina: Stefan Medina will operate with Yerry Mina in the backline. He is not tall as Mina, but is sound defensively. He wins plenty of tackles and makes timely interventions in order to help his side in the defensive department.

MIDFIELDERS

Wilmar Barrios: Wilmar Barrios likes to sit back with the defence and dictate the play from the back. The Colombian International wins plenty of duels in the middle of the pitch. He has an eye for through passes and plays plenty of long balls to help out his side when a goal is required.

Charles Aranguiz: Charles Aranguiz has been used in different formations. Since he is tactically flexible, Chile International has adapted well to the system, standing out in the Copa America till date. He has registered three assists in this year’s edition, making him as one of the creative fulcrum.

James Rodriguez: James Rodriguez is playing in the attacking line for Colombia. Since he plays further up the pitch, he contributes more to the final third. He has two assists in three games, but is the first-choice set-piece taker for his country. He will give a headache to Chile’s defence throughout the game.

FORWARDS

Alexis Sanchez (C): Alexis Sanchez has been one of the best performers for Chile, albeit his poor displays for his clubs. He has scored twice and has one assist to his name in this year’s edition, making himself as the integral player in the frontline. Chile’s forward line is functioning greatly which will pave way for Sanchez to cause threat throughout.

Eduardo Vargas: Eduardo Vargas was used for the game against Japan, when he managed to score twice in that game alone. Vargas has an abundance of energy and works hard for his team. He is a prolific goalscorer and his contribution will be an important part for Chile.

Duvan Zapata: Duvan Zapata has excelled with his club and country. He has scored twice in the Copa America this year and he is finally receiving rewards for the contributions. Radamel Falcao has been deceiving till date, which might pave way for Zapata to start over his compatriot on Friday.
