The Caribbean Premier League is an annual T20 tournament held in the West Indies. 6 teams will participate in the Premier League. The CPL kicks off on September 4, 2019, at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad and will conclude on October 12th.
In total there will be 34 matches in the competition; with 30 matches in the group stage and the remaining in the knockouts. Similar to the IPL the CPL also employs the Qualifier and Eliminator format instead of direct knock-outs.
The opening match of the CPL will see the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders take on the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots at their home ground.
