Eden Park Auckland weather today: What is Auckland weather forecast for 3rd New Zealand vs Bangladesh T20I?

Eden Park Auckland weather: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather forecast for the third NZ vs BAN T20I.

The last international match of New Zealand men’s team in the form of a T20I against Bangladesh is scheduled to begin in less 30 minutes time.

As far as playing seven series against three different opponents across formats in this international summer is concerned, New Zealand have remained unbeaten to put on display magnificent performance across departments.

Taking on Bangladesh, who will be without their T20I captain Mahmudullah tonight, the hosts would be hoping to register a 3-0 whitewash at the Eden Park in Auckland.

Having said that, New Zealand’s hopes of finishing their international summer with a victory has it in it to get adversely affected due to the prevailing weather conditions in Auckland.

It was only this afternoon that the third T2oI between New Zealand Women and Australia Women was abandoned due to rain after less than three overs were bowled at the same venue.

The inclement weather has currently delayed the toss for the men’s T20I as covers continue to mark their presence felt on the ground. The forecast for the night isn’t too pleasing either as rain is expected to fall for the next two hours or so.

According to AccuWeather, there’s a 66% probability of water pouring down till 10 PM (NZST) in Auckland. While the rain probability is likely to decrease to 49% after 10 PM, subsequent cloudy weather gives worrying signs for all the stakeholders involved.

While a full 40-over contest looks impossible from hereon, fans can at the best expect a rain-curtailed match as was the case in the second T20I in Napier. Having said that, it shouldn’t be a surprise if the match ends up in getting aborted due to rain.
