Happy Birthday Sachin Tendulkar: Best Birthday Wishes for Master Blaster as he Turns 50

The highly-anticipated moment for the billions of Sachin Tendulkar fans has finally arrived as the legendary Indian batter, the Cricketing fraternity’s very own ‘Master Blaster’ turned fifty years of age the moment clock struck 12 a few minutes ago.

The preparations for the special occasion had already started taking place since quite a few days, when the Mumbai Cricket Association president Amol Kale had announced to honour Tendulkar with a life-size statue on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

It remains to be seen whether the statue is unveiled today at his home ground in the Wankhede Stadium, or during the ODI World Cup which takes place in India this year.

However, fans just needed an excuse to celebrate his birthday days in advance. Having completed ten years since he had announced his retirement from International Cricket (in 2013), the Mumbai Indians franchise made sure to conduct the cake-cutting ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium a couple of days ago during their IPL match against  Punjab Kings.

Also, April 22 marked the completion of 25 years since Tendulkar played the ever-famous, unforgettable ‘Sharjah Special’ knock against Australia, during the Coca-Cola Cup in 1998.

Interestingly, a day later on April 24, he smashed another century to help India lift the title against the Aussies on his 25th birthday.

While he had dedicated the century to his beloved wife Anjali Tendulkar, it was the first and last time when his birthday had fallen while India was scheduled to play an international match.

Happy Birthday Sachin Tendulkar

Here is how Twitterati wished the legendary Sachin Tendulkar on his 50th birthday:
