India retro jersey online price: How to buy Indian cricket team's ODI and T20I jersey online?

India retro jersey online price: Cricket fans can now buy India’s white-ball jersey by completing a simple online transaction.

Following BCCI’s three-year deal with eSports platform MPL (Mobile Premier League) Sports, fans of Indian cricket can now buy the ODI and T20I jersey by completing a simple online transaction.

Contrary to what was the case during a more than a decade-long deal between BCCI and Nike, fans can no longer step in to outlets to buy jerseys of the Indian cricket team as MPL doesn’t have such an infrastructure throughout the country.

It was only in November last year that BCCI had signed a deal with MPL Sports. The same had become possible after no one bid for the official merchandise partner of the Indian cricket team as Indian cricket faced financial consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

MPL Sports, who will design and manufacture jerseys of the Indian men’s, women’s and Under-19 teams till December 2023, will pay INR 3 crore per year as the merchandising partner in addition to splurging INR 65 lakh per match. It is worth mentioning that the per match price has dropped by INR 20 lakh as Nike used to pay INR 85 lakh to the BCCI during its last leg of the 14-year long deal.

As far as the price of the jersey is concerned, fans will have to spend INR 1,599 per jersey (inclusive of all taxes) which is available in different sizes. To buy the official jersey, fans will have to log in to mplsports.in.

The homepage of the website will have the option of buying the jersey. After selecting the desirable size, fans will have to click on “Buy Now”. The website will then ask the user to complete the online transaction which will be done by following basic steps on their website.

The current retro jersey of the Indian cricket team has been inspired from the jersey which was donned during the ICC Cricket World Cup 1992.
