India vs New Zealand squad: India vs New Zealand ODI series player list

The New Zealand cricket team will play a couple of 3-match ODI series in Pakistan and India in 2023. Runners up of ICC World Cup 2019, the Blackcaps will take these two series in the sub-continent very seriously, and they have named their squad for the same.

There have been some vital changes in the New Zealand team as they are planning their future without Trent Boult and Martin Guptill. Both of them are not retired yet, but they are no more part of New Zealand’s central contracts and are playing in the T20 Leagues.

Finn Allen will get an extended run in the team as he is now the preferred opener of the team, and the rest of the regular members are part of the tour as well. Pakistan’s ODI series will start from January 10, whereas the ODI series against India will start from January 18, 2023.

India vs New Zealand squad

The Blackcaps have announced their ODI squads for the upcoming New Zealand and India tours. With the ODI World Cup in India next year, these series will be quite vital for the Blackcaps. However, the duo of Kane Williamson and Tim Southee will be travelling to India for the 3-match ODI series.

New Zealand have taken this decision to manage the workload of players as both Williamson and Southee will be preparing for the home test series against England later on. Tom Latham will be leading the New Zealand team in India, and Henry Shipley has got his maiden call-up.

Mark Chapman and Jacob Duffy will be replacing Williamson and Southee for the ODI series against India. India’s squad is not announced yet as they will first play against Sri Lanka at home.

New Zealand squad for India ODIs: Tom Latham (c), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Henry Shipley, Ish Sodhi.
