India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20 pitch report: Rajkot Stadium pitch report for tomorrow match

India and Sri Lanka will take on each other in the 3rd T20I of the 3-match series at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot. India won the Mumbai T20I, Sri Lanka won the Pune T20I and this game is the series decider.

After winning in Mumbai, the team lost in the 2nd T20I in Pune. The top-order of the side has failed to impress so far in the tournament, and this is the biggest worry of the side so far. Axar Patel has been excellent with the bat in the lower order, and the bowlers have been fairly decent as well.

Sri Lanka made a brilliant comeback in Pune, and they would want to win the series here. Dasun Shanaka has been their best player, and he has been excellent for the side. The top-order of the side also played well in the last match, and bowling has the strength of this side.

India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20 pitch report

The Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot is one of the flattest tracks in the country, and yet again the batters will enjoy their time in the middle. The last match played here was in June last year where India won the match by 82 runs. India posted a score of 169/6, but South Africa managed to score just 87 runs.

A total of 4 T20Is have been played, where the average 1st innings score has been 180 runs, which proves that the batters have loved batting here. Out of 4 matches, 2 matches were won by the chasing teams. There is absolutely no help for the bowlers here generally, and they will have a tough time out there in the middle.

The outfield of this ground is very fast, and once placed in the gap, it will be tough for the fielders to stop the boundary. Even the boundaries of this stadium are not that big, and it won’t be tough for the batters to clear the boundary. Both captains would love to chase upon winning the toss.
