Kohli touches Pant's feet: Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant register hilarious emotions during Zac Crawley dismissal in Nottingham Test

Kohli touches Pant’s feet: The Indian captain and wicket-keeper batsman were caught in a hilarious moment in the first session today.

During the first day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of England in Nottingham, India captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant were involved in a laughter riot with respect to the dismissal of England batsman Zac Crawley.

While Crawley was dismissed on the last delivery of the 21st over, a bit of a backstory regarding the dismissal is that India had lost a review earlier in the same over.

When India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj swung the ball into Crawley to beat the right-hand batsman all ends up on the third delivery, an excited Kohli opted for a review despite Pant unsure of the ball hitting the bat. As a result, India ended up losing a review as a dejected Kohli returned to his fielding position at first slip.

A couple of deliveries later, the visitors were pretty confident of an identical caught behind dismissal but umpire Michael Gough ruled the decision in the batsman’s favour.

Having lost a review, Kohli was hesitant about taking another on in the same over. It was at this point in time that an assured Pant convinced his captain to opt for a review. Kohli, who didn’t seem to be confident personally, perhaps gave up against Pant’s desperation with a smile on his face.

With the decision going India’s way, Kohli was eventually seen clapping for Pant. Expressive as he is, Kohli ended up touching Pant’s feet in addition to putting on display hilarious emotions with him.

Coming in to bat at No. 3 in the first over itself, Crawley played well before getting out for 27 (68) as the hosts scored 61/2 in 25 overs in the first session.
