Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is currently facing a spell on the sidelines, but when fit, he is one of the biggest match-winners in Indian cricket. Bumrah scalped a Test hat-trick against West Indies in 2019 and then Indian captain Virat Kohli called him the most complete bowler of that time.

It was the second Test of the two-match series and Bumrah scalped three wickets in a row in the first innings. The West Indies trio of Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase became victims of India’s ace. Interestingly, Chase was given not-out by the umpire but Kohli decided to review it despite not a great bit of interest from the other players.
After the match, Kohli had a lot of praise for his teammate. Kohli said that the way Bumrah has emerged from being a T20 specialist to an all-format bowler is joyful to watch. He gave full credit to Bumrah for being disciplined about his training, diet, sleep, etc.

Virat Kohli Once Revealed How Jasprit Bumrah is Head & Shoulders Above Any Other Bowler
Kohli called the Indian batters lucky that they don’t have to face someone like Bumrah during a game. It was Bumrah’s 12th Test match and he became the third Indian bowler after spinner Harbhajan Singh and pacer Irfan Pathan to take a Test hat-trick. Kohli called him a bowler with almost everything in his arsenal.
“He confuses with his angles, swing and pace. I think he is the most complete bowler in world cricket right now,” Kohli had told reporters.
“It’s really pleasing to see a guy who was tagged a T20 specialist, he came and took over the ODI scene and now Test cricket.”
India won that match by 257 runs in the end to complete a whitewash in the series. Bumrah scalped seven wickets in the match and batter Hanuma Vihari was adjudged Player of the Match for playing brilliant knocks in both innings (111 and 53*).
Virat Kohli was Jasprit Bumrah’s first and 100th IPL wicket
Bumrah made his IPL debut in 2013 and interestingly, Kohli was his first and 100th wicket in the tournament. In 2013, Bumrah trapped Kohli LBW in front of the wickets as his debut dismissal.
In the 2020 season, both Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore met each other again in Abu Dhabi. Bumrah bowled a short-ball outside off and Kohli’s mistimed pull went straight into the hands of batter Saurabh Tiwary at mid-on.
