Rajasthan Royals Coach 2023: Who all are Part of RR's Coaching Staff right now?

Rajasthan Royals, skippered by wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson are perhaps one of the very few teams in the ongoing season of the IPL, who have not been marred by injury concerns with respect to their ideal starting line-up of players.

Having retained their core of staffing personnel including the head coach from the previous year, the Royals’ off-field recruitments had reflected in the team’s on-field performance during the previous season, when they made it through to the grand finale for the first time since the inaugural edition of the league in 2008.

Even during the first match of the season, while fielding their full strength side they registered a comprehensive, one-sided victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 72 runs, after piling on 203 runs on the board batting first.

Rajasthan Royals had decided to retain the services of former Sri Lanka skipper and wicket-keeper batter Kumar Sangakkara last month, in the capacity of the team’s head coach as well as the franchise’s Director of Cricket Operations for IPL 2023.

Sangakkara has held the dual position since the 2021 edition of the league, and is thrust with the “responsibility of overseeing the entire cricketing ecosystem of the Royals franchise, including coaching structure, auction plans and team strategy, talent discovery and development, as well as the development of the Royals Academy in Nagpur.”

In fact, while retaining other coaching staff personnel including the assistant coach, fast bowling coach, fielding coach, and support coach (to name a few), RR have also recruited an assistant physio and a mental performance coach as well for the ongoing season.
