The 47th match of the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League will take place between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The last time these two sides had met this season, the contest had turned out to be a high-scoring one at the Eden Gardens. Harry Brook‘s maiden IPL century had led SRH to a 23-run victory, after they had posted 228/4 on the scoreboard in the first innings.
With Brook pushed down the order after ordinary performances post the ton, the management has yet again decided to partner Abhishek Sharma with Mayank Agarwal at the opening slot. With Brook having scored his ton while opening, and Sharma performing well the previous match, it remains to be seen whether SRH yet again change their opening combination or not.
KKR, too, have had their struggles to find their perfect opening batting combination, and have used six opening pairs so far. However, they are likely to go with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy (if match fit) tomorrow, with both of them being in a good nick.
In the bowling department, KKR will likely have the edge over SRH, especially in the spin bowling department.

With rain playing Hide and Seek for the past three days in Hyderabad, the whether is likely to be cloudy tomorrow night. This means that the fast bowlers are likely to come into the picture due to the presence of moisture on the pitch. The spinners are expected to have a say as well, having bowled at an economy rate of mere 7.70 in the season so far.
“It was slow, the ball was coming off slowly. I felt that me and Kuldeep can tie up the batters on this surface, so it was enjoyable,” remarked Axar Patel post the SRH versus DC match at this venue on April 24.
The average score across the four IPL 2023 matches so far at this venue is 162 runs. Thus, one should expect a more or less even contest with both bat and the ball in Hyderabad tomorrow.
