Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Weather Report: Current Weather in Hyderabad for SRH vs KKR IPL 2023 Match

Indian Premier League 2023 Match 47 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders could become the fifth match of the season to bear the brunt of rain. Assuming that it happens, weather will play spoilsport for the second consecutive day in the competition. Having said that, it could affect the second half of the contest instead of delaying the toss as it happened in Lucknow yesterday.

It is noteworthy that it is neither raining in Hyderabad at the moment nor it is expected to in the next hour or so. However, the last couple of hours of Thursday have it in them to witness downpour in the city.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if both the captains mention the weather at the toss to make their decision accordingly.

With the match scheduled to begin at 07:30 PM (local time), there’s a 14% rain probability at the time according to reliable weather portal AccuWeather. At worst, the number is expected to increase to 18% around 09:00 PM.

Hence, one doesn’t expect any major interruption in the first innings of the match between SRH and KKR. Speaking of the second innings, rain probability is anticipated to increase by more than 2.5 times to 49% around 10 PM. The numeric will further increase to 54% at 11 PM and will, more or less, remain the same at midnight.

In the wake of the same, there could be one or more rain breaks in the second innings. Although overs are yet to be lost in any IPL 2023 match, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium could present the first-ever case of the season tonight. Having said that, all the stakeholders would be praying against a washed out fixture like the one between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday.
