Rohit Sharma last 10 ODI innings: Rohit Sharma last 10 innings in ODIs full list

During the first ODI of India’s tour of Bangladesh 2022 in Mirpur, India captain Rohit Sharma failed to convert his start into a substantial knock to add another failure to his lean patch this year.

Opening the batting with veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan (7), Sharma became the second Indian batter to get out after being asked to bat first by his counterpart Liton Das.

Not that Sharma looked scratchy or lacked rhythm but him mis-reading a delivery from former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan led to his dismissal. Expecting that the ball would turn away from him, Sharma was undone when the same didn’t happen. As a result, was in no position to stop the ball from hitting his stumps.

Sharma, who scored 27 (31) with the help of four fours and a six, walked back to the pavilion in Shakib’s first over right after the first powerplay.

India also losing former captain Virat Kohli (9) in the same over further pushed them into trouble. With batter Shreyas Iyer and vice-captain KL Rahul the only two specialist batters for the visitors, a massive partnership is the need of the hour for them.

As far as Sharma’s boundaries are concerned, he first cut Hasan Mahmud successfully to earn his first four of the match in the bowler’s first over itself. Sharma, who punched Mahmud for a boundary in his third over, pulled him for a six in his fourth over. Having swept Mehidy Hasan Miraz with disdain in the next over, Sharma once again attacked Mahmud to cut him for the second time at the Shere Bangla National Stadium today.
