Celebrity kids’ lives are under the spotlight in this age of social media with very little care for the right to individual privacy. Come Tuesday, it was former Indian batter Virender Sehwag’s son who found his name under the very spotlight, when his name appeared in the team sheet of the Delhi Under-16 team.

Last month, Sehwag’s son’s name was in the Delhi under-16 team probable players’ list. From amongst these 79 players, he made it through to the further truncated squad a few days later, and then a couple of days later made the cut to the final Delhi Under-16 squad, which is partaking in the ongoing Vijay Merchant 2022-23 trophy.
During Delhi’s opening Vijay Merchant Trophy match against Hyderabad, the 15-year-old was not named in the starting fifteen, but much to his delight was the 15th player on the Delhi team sheet ahead of the fixture against Bihar.

Sehwag son name
The 15-year-old son of legendary Indian batter Virender Sehwag, goes by the name Aryavir Sehwag. As per the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) selection committee chairperson, Aryavir has not yet shown any signs of being the aggressive batter that his father was during his playing days.
“Not at all. He is not that type of batter. His footwork is very good and is a good student of the game,” remarked Akash Malhotra, DDCA junior selection committee chairperson.
Sehwag had, earlier in an interview, even remarked that he does want his son to become a cricketer, and follow the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, or Hardik Pandya.
Aryavir even reckons Kohli as his favourite player, having posted his picture alongside him in his latest Instagram post. The 15-year-old already has over 11k followers on Instagram, where he often posts his short batting video clips.
