Virat Kohli: Watch Kohli shares Whistlepodu moment with fans in Chennai Test

Virat Kohli shares Whistlepodu moment: The Indian captain has entertained the Chepauk spectators to the fullest today.

During the second day of the second Test of the ongoing England’s tour of India in Chennai, India captain Virat Kohli seems to be having a ball at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Kohli, who has on many occasions in the past interacted with the spectators especially while playing home Tests, welcomed fans back into the stadium by constantly gesturing towards them whilst fielding.

With this match being the first to allow fans into the stadiums in India since the COVID-19 pandemic, Kohli made the most of the opportunity by asking them to cheer for the home team time and again.

Given Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings’ “Whistlepodu” culture at the venue, Kohli took it upon himself to whistle towards the spectators before asking them to increase the volume of their cheers.

Kohli, who was dismissed for a duck by England all-rounder Moeen Ali yesterday, made it a point to entertain the fans today by constantly engaging with them.

After India scored 329/10 in 95.5 overs, the English batsmen have been found wanting on a difficult surface for batting. Having lost seven wickets so far, the visitors might not be able to save the follow-on.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
