The first Test of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of West Indies is all set to commence from today at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia.
Having last hosted a Test against England in February 2019, the venue will be hosting South Africa for the first time in this format. Out of the seven Tests which the hosts have played in St Lucia, they have won just one and lost two over the years.
Likely to witness a few debutant players, this two-match Test series might also unearth some hidden talents from both the teams. It is worth mentioning that the series will be played under two inexperienced captains in Kraigg Brathwaite (West Indies) and Dean Elgar (South Africa).
