England have made just a solitary change in their playing 11 where Liam Livingstone has been replaced by Mark Wood. Livingstone, who made his debut in the last match, has been ruled out of the series due to an injury. It will be interesting to see the approach of the English side in this match as well.
Pakitan’s bowling was quite inexperienced in the last match, and they now have further worries in the department. The duo of Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah has been ruled out of the match. This is a do-or-die match for Pakistan, and they will have to improve their performances here.
Why Haris Rauf not playing today
Pakistan have made three changes to their playing 11 for the 2nd test in Multan. Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Azhar Ali have been replaced by Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf and Abrar Ahmed. With the addition of Nawaz, they have strengthed their spin-bowling department.
Haris Rauf got injured in the last match and has been ruled out of the whole series. He is suffering a Grade-2 strain in his right quad which will require a longer period of rehabilitation. He is the lead pacer of the side and his presence will definitely be missed by the Pakistan side.
Naseem Shah is yet another major absentee from Pakistan’s bowling lineup. Shah has slowly cemented his place in the side, but he has been ruled out of the game due to a shoulder niggle. He was Pakistan’s best bowler in the last game but was seen holding his shoulders a number of times.
