Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly expressed his wish to play for the Ligue 1 giant Paris-Saint-Germain as it increasingly becoming crystal clear that he is not happy at Bernabeu.
This season, he has been out of sorts as has just scored one goal in the La Liga. The 32-year-old is unlikely to win an extension at the richest football club in the world. Hence, he consulted with his agent and decided to find out a new team for the next season.
Many teams across the European continent expressed their wish to sign a deal with the four-time Champions League star.
Recently, Serie A side AS Roma was linked with Ronaldo which indicated Ronaldo possible exit from Real Madrid in the next summer.
When the speculation was going on about Ronaldo’s possible exit, Spanish media outlet Don Balon added more fuel to this speculation revealing that Ronaldo was keen for a surprise move to Stamford Bridge in England which somehow failed.
Now, it seems PSG would be his preferred destination as he is already on the wrong side of thirty. So, is eye will be on fetching a robust deal. Ronaldo asked his agent Jorge Mendes to get in touch with PSG management and commence the talk.
It was learnt that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is not willing to meet Ronaldo’s demands for a new contract. At the same time, Perez is reluctant to sell him unless he gets a good price.
The reason behind’s Perez’s unwillingness to sell Ronaldo could be English clubs’ inability to bring back the former Manchester United star back in the league.
PSG ready to welcome Ronaldo
Ronaldo is one of the finest players of his generations. He had made his move to Real Madrid in 2009 from Old Trafford. So far, the Portuguese star scored 416 goals in 409 appearances for the Los Blancos.
Since 2009, Ronaldo won the club three Champions League titles and two La Liga laurels, but now it seems their love story is set to meet the end.
The French side PSG is interested to sign a deal with Ronaldo since this is their long lasting wish. However, many believed signing him now would be a more realistic move now.
Earlier, this year, PSG has signed record million dollar deals with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. So, Ronaldo’s presence in the current PSG teal will give them balance as Neymar is not willing to play alongside Edison Cavani.
